Telehealth

What is Telehealth?

Telehealth is a Medicare initiative that allows doctors and patients to communicate using online video sessions.

Online Consultations Can Save You Time

Our practice understands that it is not always easy to travel to see us, so in certain circumstances, we can offer an online consultation. This is usually more suited to follow-up consultations.

Easy to Setup

All you will need is a stable internet connection and a device that supports video and audio such as a computer, smartphone or tablet. To access your telehealth appointment, you'll simply need to click a link in your appointment confirmation email or reminder, and that will open up your video session.

For initial consultations we generally recommend a face-to-face meeting. A new patient initial online consultation can sometimes be appropriate, however this must be considered on a case by case basis. Also, a further meeting will be required in person prior to any surgical procedure.
